Purpose

To encourage the local production of good quality compost, to rejuvenate the soil and to mitigate external shocks such as the availability and price of fertilizers

Grant Amount

50% grant up to a maximum of Rs 500,000

Eligibility Criteria

1. Operating in the agro-industrial sector for at least one year over a minimum extent of:
   • 0.25 arpent – food crops/fruits/ornamentals
   • sheltered farming on not less than 250m2
2. Minimum Composting capacity of the project 5m3
3. Submit a Project Proposal
4. Holder of title deed or registered lease agreement for a minimum of 3 years post application
5. Holder of the relevant permits/licences, where applicable
6. Eligible for set-up of infrastructure and purchase of equipment
