Purpose
To encourage the local production of good quality compost, to rejuvenate the soil and to mitigate external shocks such as the availability and price of fertilizers
Grant Amount
50% grant up to a maximum of MUR 500,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Operating in the agro-industrial sector for at least one year over a minimum extent of:
- 0.25 arpent – food crops/fruits/ornamentals
- 0.1 arpent lettuce/aromatic herbs and greens
- sheltered farming on not less than 250m2
- Minimum Composting capacity of the project 5m3
- Holder of title deed or registered lease agreement for a minimum of 3 years post application
- Holder of the relevant permits/licences, where applicable
