DESIGN, SUPPLY, CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION, TESTING, AND COMMISSIONING OF ONE GLASSHOUSE COMPLETE WITH SIX CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT CHAMBERS AT REDUIT CROP RESEARCH STATION ON A DESIGN – BUILD / TURNKEY BASIS

OPEN NATIONAL BIDDING

  1. Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (FAREI), invite  bids from eligible and qualified bidders for  DESIGN, SUPPLY, CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION, TESTING, AND COMMISSIONING OF ONE GLASSHOUSE COMPLETE WITH SIX CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT CHAMBERS AT REDUIT CROP RESEARCH STATION ON A DESIGN – BUILD / TURNKEY BASIS as more fully described in the Bidding Documents.
  2. The contract will be for a duration of 210 calendar days
  3. The bidding document is available as an attachment, free of charge, on this website: –http://publicprocurement.govmu.org
  4. Participation is limited to citizens of Mauritius or entities incorporated in Mauritius.  Joint Ventures should be among entities incorporated in Mauritius.
  5. Any clarification sought by any bidder in respect of this bid exercise shall be addressed in writing to the:

    Request for clarification should be made not later than 14 days prior to the deadline for submission of bids. Reply to any request for clarification received will be made 7 days prior to the deadline for submission of bids.
  6. Bidders should be registered with the CIDB in the appropriate grade in Building Construction Works.
  7. A pre-bid meeting followed by a site visit will be held on 30 September 2021  at 10.00 hours (local time)  in the Conference room, Head Office, FAREI,  Reduit.
  8. Bids must be submitted online on the e-Procurement System at latest by Monday 08 November 2021 up to 13.00 hrs.
  9.  Bidders who have submitted bids online by the closing date and time shall decrypt and re-encrypt their bids from Monday 08 November 2021 from 16.01 hrs till Wednesday 10 November 2021 up to 13.30 hrs.
  10. Bids will be opened online in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend on Wednesday 10 November 2021 at 13.31 hrs.  in the conference room, Head Office, FAREI, Reduit.
  11. The Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute reserve the right;
    – to accept or reject any bid;
    – to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to award of contract as per provision of Section 39(1) of the Public Procurement Act 2006, as amended.
  12. Bidders are advised to consult regularly the Public Procurement Portal: http://publicprocurement.govmu.org to take notice of any addendum issued.
