Purpose

Enabling breeders to purchase heifers/pregnant heifers/cows of genetically improved breeds.

Grant Amount

A 50% cash grant, up to a maximum of Rs 75,000 per head for a maximum of Rs. 225,000 for imported cattle for breeding.

Beneficiaries

Registered breeders and Companies engaged in agricultural production.

Eligibility Criteria

• Holder of a valid Small Farmers Welfare Fund Card
• Operating in the agro-industrial sector for at least one year
• Holder of title deed or registered lease agreement for a minimum of 5 years post application for land hosting the proposed project
• Have proof of funding for the remaining amount
• Holder of a Building & Land Use Permit (BLUP)
