Purpose
To encourage crop and livestock farmers to collect and store rainwater for agricultural activities, hence reducing dependence on the use of potable water.
Grant Amount
50% grant up to a maximum of Rs 50,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Operating in the agro-industrial sector for at least one year over a minimum extent of:
- 0.5 arpent – food crops/fruits
- 0.25 arpent aromatic herbs/ornamentals
- sheltered farming on not less than 250m2
- Holder of title deed or registered lease agreement for a minimum of 3 years post application
- Holder of the relevant permits/licences where applicable
