The Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (FAREI) participated in Le Grand Salon de l’Agriculture, organised by Publi Promo Ltd in collaboration with the Ministry of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries. The event was held at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre (SVICC), Pailles, from 3rd to 7th December 2025.
The five-day event provided an important platform to showcase the modernisation, innovation and sustainability of the Mauritian agricultural sector. FAREI showcased several thematic stands highlighting crop and ornamental production, plant protection strategies, agro-processing, value addition to fresh milk, soil and water management, climate-resilient agriculture, and livestock production. A special exhibit featured live animals, such as quail, poultry, goat, rabbit, and cattle.
