The Ministry of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries invites Expression of Interest from growers registered with the Small Farmers Welfare Fund, for the production of calabash seeds under the Quality Declared Seed (QDS) Programme.

Applicable Conditions:
1. Growers already under contract with the Ministry for the QDS Programme 2025/2026 for Squash and Cucumber, are not eligible for the QDS Programme for Calabash.
2. Selected growers should have experience in calabash seed production.
3. Selected growers will have to comply with the protocol established under the QDS Programme.
4. Selected growers will be required to sign a Seed Contract Agreement with the Agricultural Services of the Ministry.
5. The calabash fruits produced under the QDS Programme will be subjected to quality control measures to ensure conformity with standards set for the Programme.
6. The Ministry will purchase calabash fruits produced under the QDS Programme, for production of seeds, as per the Seed Contract Agreement.

Mode of Application:
Growers should submit their Expressions of Interest in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Seed Production under the QDS Programme” to the Senior Chief Executive of the Ministry of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries at the address given below by
10th October 2025 at latest

The Ministry reserves the right to annul the above exercise without causing prejudice to any applicant.
