Salon de l’Alimentation et du Bien Être

The Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (FAREI) participated in the “Salon de l’ Alimentation et du Bien-Etre” organized by Events Plus, held at the SVICC, Pailles from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th June 2025. The three-day event ran from 1000 to 1800 hrs daily and featured exhibitions and sales focused on food, nutrition, and wellness.

FAREI showcased its wide range of ongoing Research and Extension programmes, with a special emphasis on Nutritious and Safe Food. The exhibition included six dedicated cubicles presenting:

  • Processed milk products
  • Opportunities in fruit and food crop processing
  • A wide variety of fresh, nutritious fruits and food crops
  • New and innovative agricultural technologies
  • An information desk was also set up to address visitor queries, along with a sales area offering publications (books and booklets), mushroom cultivation bags, and plants.

    On Saturday 7th June 2025, Honourable Dr Arvin Boolell, FRCP, GOSK, Minister of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries, visited the FAREI stands and expressed his appreciation for FAREI’s active participation and valuable contributions to the event.

    FAREI’s participation aimed to raise public awareness on healthy food production and promote sustainable agricultural practices through innovation and knowledge sharing.
