Rosada is a red short day mid-late onion variety with a globular, uniform and firm bulb. It has good storability due to its good scale retention. The yield is comparable to the currently recommended hybrid varieties cultivated locally. Rosada adapts to all onion growing regions with the exception of the coast having a sandy soil. It is suitable for transplanting, direct sowing and multi-seeded planting technique.
