The Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute obtained an award from the European Union on Friday 09 May. The award was presented by His Excellency Mr. Oskar Benedikt the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Mauritius in the presence of the President and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius.
FAREI participated in a photograph contest for projects funded by the European Union. The Photograph was taken by Dr. Jenny Caphane Victoire of the Entomology Division featuring an adult hoverfly Paragus borbonicus Maquart (1842) feeding on nectar from a marigold flower under the DESIRA project.
