Management of Diamondback Moth (Plutella xylostella)
The Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (FAREI) has launched a National Campaign on Sustainable Crop Production at the Farmer Training School Wooton on 22nd June 2023. In this context a video clip and a booklet on Sustainable Management of Diamondback Moth in Cabbage Cultivation was launched.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of The Attorney General, Minister of Agro-Industry and Food Security, Hon. Maneesh Gobin in the presence of The Senior Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Moheenee Nathoo of the Ministry of Agro Industry and Food Security (MAIFS) and the Ag. Chief Executive Officer, Mrs M. Seenevassen Pillay of the Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (FAREI).
The activity was carried out within the implementation of the EU-DeSIRA funded project aiming at building capacity to address climate change, ensure climate resilient production systems through integrated pests management.
During the event augmentoria and seeds of hosts plants were distributed to 10 planters.
