The Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security informs the public that following the recent torrential rainfalls across the country, and in the aftermath of cyclone Freddy, the Ministry and the Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute will proceed with free distribution of seeds to registered planters, on weekdays from 09.00hrs to 15.00hrs as from 13th to 27th of March 2023, at the following distribution points around the island:

Distribution will be carried out on a first come first serve basis while taking into consideration the types of crops grown by the respective planter in each zone.
Registered planters are being invited to call at the FAREI sub-offices in their respective area to collect the seeds.
