Purpose

To enable breeders to purchase calves breeding and rearing.

Grant Amount

Grant of Rs 15,000 for purchase of local calf less than 1 year for a maximum of 10 heads within a maximum of three applications.

Eligibility Criteria

• Holder of a valid Small Farmers Welfare Fund Card
• Operating in the agro-industrial sector for at least one year or should have completed a training course on proposed breeding project at FAREI
• Holder of title deed or registered lease agreement for a minimum of 3 years post application
• Have proof of funding for the remaining amount
• For Cooperative/Companies – Turnover should not exceed Rs 10M
