GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Holder of a valid Small Farmers Welfare Fund Card
- Registration certificate and Business Registration card in case of companies/ farmer’s associations
- For companies /farmer’s associations – Identity Card(s) of all members, and a copy of resolution for approval of the project
- Relevant permits and licences, where applicable.
- Proof of funding for the remaining amount from a recognised financial institution such as a bank statement (issued within the last three (3) months) – not applicable for Banana Bagging and Fruit protection schemes
- Detailed Quotation(s) from the Supplier(s) who provides after sale service.
- Layout/Sketch/Design, sheltered farming scheme, CCTV camera, constructions, civil works and Rainwater scheme
- Owners must provide the title deed(s) for the plot(s) where existing cultivation is present and where the project will be implemented (if project will be implemented at a different location)
- Lessee must provide a Registered Lease Agreement(s) and the Title Deed(s) for the plot with existing cultivation(s) and where the project will be implemented (if project will be implemented at a different location)
- History card/Tag number of the animal(s) and veterinary report on the health status of each animal to be purchased according to specifications of FAREI
- For cooperative/companies- Turnover should not exceed MUR 10M
MODE OF APPLICATION
The application form is available at the offices of the Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (FAREI) or can be downloaded from the FAREI Website: http://farei.mu/farei2021/
The application form duly filled along with the relevant documents should be submitted to the respective regional sub-offices of FAREI.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Applications are restricted to new projects only (not yet implemented or started). No advanced payment should have been effected at time of application
- All facilities funded should be utilised solely for horticultural and livestock development.
- Only one beneficiary per household (only one spouse). For the son or daughter, they should have their title deed(s) separately from their parents. Only one applicant can benefit from scheme(s) on a particular plot of land.
- Applicants will benefit from the Schemes only once, except for Purchase of Agricultural/Processing Equipment Scheme (Crop and Livestock), Banana Bagging Scheme and Calf Purchase scheme as detailed in the Eligibility Criteria.
- Upon approval, an Agreement will be signed between the Ministry (represented by FAREI) and the beneficiary.
- Final disbursement is conditional to proof of purchase, verification on site and project is operational.
- The committee reserves the right to reject any application.
