Purpose

To mitigate the prevalence of freckle disease in local banana farms and to encourage protection of fruit trees in orchards and backyards from being attacked by bats

Grant Amount

• 50% subsidy on cost of purchase of plastic bags

Eligibility Criteria

• Holder of a valid Small Farmers Welfare Fund Card
• Involved in banana production, for a period of at least one year, over a minimum extent of 0.25 arpent
• Eligible for a maximum of 2.0 arpents, at the rate of 450 bags per arpent
