Purpose

To mitigate the prevalence of freckle disease in local banana farms and to encourage protection of fruit trees in orchards and backyards from being attacked by bats

Grant Amount

50% subsidy on cost of purchase of plastic bags

Eligibility Criteria

• Holders of a valid Small Farmers Welfare Fund Card
• Involved in banana production, for a period of at least one year, over a minimum extent of 0.25 arpent and a maximum of 5.0 arpents, at the rate of 450 bags per arpent
