Subject to satisfactory service, candidate may be offered substantive appointment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>I. MODE OF APPLICATION<\/strong><\/span><br \/><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Instructions to candidates are:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>1. Only application made on the prescribed form will be accepted.<br \/>2. Incomplete, inadequate or inaccurate filling of the form will lead to disqualification and elimination of the candidate.<br \/>3. To operate pumping machines.<br \/>2. To control water flowing to reservoirs and ensure a regular water supply.<br \/>3. To be responsible for:<br \/>&emsp;(i) the connection of irrigation pipes to source of water;<br \/>&emsp;(ii) the installation of pipes and sprinklers within fields to be irrigated;<br \/>&emsp;(iii) the cleaning and simple maintenance of sprinklers and of the engine including priming and keeping up fuel lines;<br \/>&emsp;(iv) ensuring that water flow is of good quality;<br \/>&emsp;(v) ensuring the proper servicing, maintenance and repair of water pumps;<br \/>&emsp;(vi) the moving of irrigation equipment;<br \/>&emsp;(vii) the collection and proper storage of pipes and sprinklers and pumping equipment.<br \/>&emsp;(viii) assisting in water conservation by checking all pipes conditions and installations and hence ensure the water wastage is minimized; and<br \/>&emsp;(ix) ensuring the cleanliness of the Pumping Station.<br \/>4. To assist the mechanics when the engine under his charge is under repair.<br \/>5. To keep records such as hours run, servicing and maintenance records.<br \/>6.
