Par ailleurs,<\/p><ul><li>la lutte pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire avec des intrants et des technologies inadapt\u00e9s \u00e9puise notre base de ressources naturelles, et<\/li><li>la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sanitaire des produits agricoles suscite des pr\u00e9occupations grandissantes chez les consommateurs qui sont maintenant tr\u00e8s concern\u00e9s par ce qu\u2019ils ach\u00e8tent et consomment.<\/li><\/ul><p>Ainsi, des bonnes pratiques agricoles (BPA) ou \u2018Good Agricultural Practices\u2019 (GAP) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9es par la Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) pour l\u2019am\u00e9lioration et le d\u00e9veloppement \u00e0 long terme de la production agricole. Elles reposent sur l\u2019engagement des agriculteurs responsables \u00e0 :<\/p><ol><li>maintenir la confiance des consommateurs vis-\u00e0-vis de la qualit\u00e9 et de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des produits en minimisant les risques de contamination (microbienne et chimique),<\/li><li>minimiser l\u2019impact d\u00e9favorable sur l\u2019environnement tout en pr\u00e9servant la faune et la flore,<\/li><li>am\u00e9liorer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de l\u2019utilisation des ressources naturelles,<\/li><li>assurer une attitude responsable vis-\u00e0-vis de la sant\u00e9 et de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des travailleurs agricoles.<\/li><\/ol><p>Les bonnes pratiques agricoles constituent un ensemble de r\u00e8gles \u00e0 respecter dans la gestion des cultures. Le th\u00e8me directeur est de conna\u00eetre, de comprendre, de planifier, de mesurer, d\u2019enregistrer et de g\u00e9rer les activit\u00e9s de la plantation jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la manutention de la r\u00e9colte afin d\u2019atteindre les objectifs mentionn\u00e9s.<\/p><p>Les principes du BPA ont \u00e9t\u00e9 regroup\u00e9s en 11 \u00e9l\u00e9ments de ressources \/ pratiques.
